Mad Love

Nostro Sweet - from texture soaked reverb, Dean Wareham's distinctive guitar (not credited?), to that trippy Pete Kember production - it's euphoric. Yes, the album is essentially slow in tempo, but subtle changes and creative textures are key, ensures this release is anything but one-paced and dull. The music tends to imbue the listener, consumed, until the pinnacle has been reached, leaving you wanting to do it all over again. Favorite track: February Blues.

Working closely with Spacemen 3's Sonic Boom as well as Luna's Dean Wareham, Sombre gained a cult following with his eponymous 2009 debut and 2012 follow-up, Mad Love. ... more
